These are the Switchboards in our collection.

This is a photo of 3 SB-22 Korean War Era Switchboards. They are stackable. 2 in the photo have ringers, bell generators and Headphone/Microphone connections. The one on the bottom is all Trunk lines. They physically connect to each other using pring-loaded pins on each side. When carrying these, they have a metal lid and strap. The lid can be used to identify what each line is connected to (OP, Headquarters, Supply, Artillery, etc).

 

 

 

This is the WWII BD-72 Switchboard. It is very heavy and has it's own wood case. It only has 6 lines compared to the SB-22 which has 12. There is a larger version of this known as the BD-71.
